The Music Matters Lab returns to Free Thinking, in partnership with the Music and Science Lab from Durham University. Tom Service will be joined by the project’s lead investigator Martin Clayton and members of Royal Northern Sinfonia to explore the dynamics and interpersonal relationships of a string quartet.

Presenter of Radio 3’s Music Matters since 2003, Tom Service studied music at the University of York. He writes for newspapers and magazines including The Guardian and also presents Radio 3’s programme The Listening Service.
