Royal Northern Sinfonia

Royal Northern Sinfonia Music Director Lars Vogt conducts music from Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and his ‘Scottish’ Symphony.

Presenting the concert is Ruth Rosales, who will take the audience on an interactive musical journey, exploring Mendelssohn’s travels in Scotland and what inspired him to write the pieces.

As well as hearing the world-class Royal Northern Sinfonia perform in Sage One, there’ll also be free fun activities from 1pm on the Concourse before the concert starts, with children being given the chance to try out musical instruments for themselves, as well as a classical music disco and party games after the concert.
