Gerry Richardson’s Big Idea gets even bigger with the addition of Neil Harland on bass and Liz Corney and Lindsay Hannon on backing vocals.
The new album further explores what the Independent called “…the most rollicking jazz-soul ensemble imaginable, like a Geordie riposte to Tower of Power“.
About Gerry Richardson
Gerry Richardson is a seasoned musician and composer who has worked with Sting, Eberhard Schoener, Billy Ocean, Guy Barker, John Miles, Alan Price, Ian Shaw and Elliott Randle (Steely Dan) – amongst many others. He formed the jazz-rock band Last Exit with Sting in 1974.
The Big Idea builds on his popular trio (which features Gerry on Hammond, Garry Linsley on sax and Paul Smith on drums) with a roster of fabulous musicians adding their unique textures and completing the vision.
