Spacebound Apes is an inspiring story about a character called Lincoln, created by Neil Cowley woven together with some of the most breathtaking music Neil has written.
Spacebound Apes showcases Neil’s work as a dazzling composer of dynamic and cinematic music. Hypnotic passages create heart-pounding suspense while sweet, whispered themes create emotion-shattering empathy. Bold, bombastic tunes create drama, and in a departure from Cowley and his trio’s more usual acoustic setting, electronics orchestrate desolation and despair.
This concert sees the trio perform the new album in its entirety. Neil Cowley is joined by long time band mates, Evan Jenkins on drums and Rex Horan on bass with guest appearance by Brian Eno collaborator Leo Abrahams on guitars and FX.
Together, they will present this powerful, atmospheric and captivating musical tale; projected visuals will also enhance the audience experience of this unique creation.
