Grace Smith (Fiddle & Clog Dance)

Grace Smith - smaller

Grace Smith plays fiddle and viola, as well as being a clog dancer. She has performed with ‘Monster Ceilidh Band’ since 2015 at festivals and venues across Europe, as well as for a live session with the band on BBC Radio 3, and recently launched ‘The Grace Smith Trio’. In the trio, which evolved out of her solo EFDSS Seed Funding project in 2018/2019, Grace plays interpretations of archive material and new compositions alongside Sam Partridge (English Concertina) and Bevan Morris (Double Bass). Grace is also an experienced educator and has taught for organisations including Folkworks, Newcastle University, Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company, North East Fiddle School and Lakeland Arts, as well as leading clog dancing workshops in Glossop, and teaching for several Music Hubs and Music Services projects.
