Harriet Bradshaw

Hailing from Teesside, Harriet Bradshaw is a singer/songwriter and much sought-after session player and collaborator.

Having released her first two singles ‘Mermaids and Pondskaters’ and ‘Yourself and Nobody Else’, Harriet’s self-titled debut album will follow on 4th November 2022, ranging from stripped-bare, haunting vocals with acoustic guitar and piano accompaniment, to more expansive arrangements featuring Bradshaw on cello, as well as in a full band set-up.

Harriet has been involved in myriad musical projects with such artists as Tom Joshua, Nel Unlit, and Elaine Palmer, as well as Mercury Prize nominated John Bramwell (I Am Kloot), for a number of years. Harriet is a classically trained pianist and cellist, as well as having a background in choral singing, and the influence of this can be heard in her songwriting and crisp vocal style.

Her songs sit comfortably in both the confessional, personal style of writing as well as lush explorations of landscape and imagined characters. She is influenced by an eclectic mix of musical artists and literary figures, including solo artists such as Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, Carole King, Carole Bayer Sager, Kate Bush and Rufus Wainwright, as well as poets Sylvia Plath, Frank O’Hara and Simon Armitage.
