Soultown Funk is made up from a range of first, second and third year BA Community Music students. Performing a variety of material, focusing specifically around the genres of Motown, Soul and Funk, they have produced their own original material as well as adapting pre-existing pieces to suit this ensemble.

With pieces such as The Blues Brothers’ ‘Everybody Needs Somebody’ and Martha and The Vandella’s ‘Dancing in the Street’, you’re sure to find yourself tapping your feet and clapping along to the music!

BABMUS is a 10 piece band made up of students from the BA and BMus courses at Sage Gateshead. Their repertoire includes soul, funk, jazz and their own originals.
