Three of the most unique and adventurous musicians in world of jazz unite for a very special trio project. Trilok Gurtu, Paulo Fresu and Omar Sosa are three dazzling live performers who share the joy of expanding musical boundaries.
All are virtuoso players with a shared joy in expanding musical boundaries and dazzling live performers who constantly seek inspiration from each other and love to share the magical results with their audience.
These virtuoso musicians combine traditional and progressive musical elements from their homelands of India, Italy, and Cuba, and influences from far beyond.
Fraser Fifield and Graeme Stephen
Two of Scotland’s true music adventurers exploring the crossover between Scottish folk and jazz creating music to swell the heart.
Fraser Fifield is a multi-instrumentalist and composer with a distinctly original sound. His distillation of influences from such diverse sources as the Highland Bagpipe tradition, Jazz Saxophone, Bulgarian Kaval and others, has lead to a growing catalogue of critically acclaimed recordings released on his Tanar Records label.
Guitarist Graeme Stephen was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. Now residing in Edinburgh, he performs with numerous projects playing a wide array of styles from free improvisation to folk.
