Fraser Fifield and Graeme Stephen

Two of Scotland’s true music adventurers exploring the crossover between Scottish folk and jazz creating music to swell the heart.

Fraser Fifield is a multi-instrumentalist and composer with a distinctly original sound. His distillation of influences from such diverse sources as the Highland Bagpipe tradition, Jazz Saxophone, Bulgarian Kaval and others, has lead to a growing catalogue of critically acclaimed recordings released on his Tanar Records label.

Guitarist Graeme Stephen was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. Now residing in Edinburgh, he performs with numerous projects playing a wide array of styles from free improvisation to folk.

Stephen’s music speaks loudly of ambition, imagination, nous, and harmonic adventure yet teemed with the sort of tuneful realisation that swells the heartRob Adams The Herald
