BBC Music Introducing supports unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar music across the UK.

With upwards of 500,000 tracks uploaded to the BBC Music Introducing website and over 200,000 artists registered, Introducing provides a network dedicated to supporting the best emerging talent from across the UK and a platform to propel them onto the national stage through Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, 6 Music, the Asian Network and Radio 3.

It gives up-and-coming artists broadcast opportunities on BBC radio, television and online alongside the chance to perform at major festivals and showcases. Big name artists including Florence + the Machine, Jake Bugg, Rae Morris, George Ezra, James Bay, SOAK and Jack Garratt all received BBC Music Introducing support at the start of their careers.

Nick Roberts from BBC Introducing in the North East presents a line-up of great artists:

Another Sky

Channelling the brooding atmospherics of Radiohead and The xx, but with a little more bite and political charge, Another Sky’s music is dark, cinematic and richly textured. Layering ambient guitars with penetrating bass lines and anxious beats, there is a thrillingly haunting quality to it.

Beth Macari

Beth’s previous release “Clone” was championed by Gaby Roslin on both BBC Radio 2 and BBC London, with “Boy” set to be given an exclusive spin on Radio 2 prior to it’s release. “Clone” also received airplay from major UK stations, including a remix by Grammy nominated DJ and producer Eddie Amador.

Appearances at major summer festivals such as Hardwick Live and Bingley Live saw Beth perform alongside the likes of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Kaiser Chiefs and Melanie C and Beth is looking forward to extensive touring of the UK in 2019.

Beth’s original music has seen her support Rae Morris, Soul legend PP Arnold, Hollie Cook, Irish singer / rapper Maverick Sabre and The Hot 8 Brass Band from New Orleans. These experiences opened doors for Beth which enabled her to tour across Europe and The U.K, including performing to 25 thousand at The South Tyneside Summer Festival.
