We are sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances The Grahams concert on Sunday 26 February has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule The Grahams in the near future. Ticket holders will be contacted to arrange a full refund.
The dynamic Americana duo, The Grahams (Alyssa Graham and Doug Graham), blend deeply personal, emotive and powerful lyrics with beautiful harmonies.
The performance also includes a screening of their short film Rattle The Hocks.
The film is a loose, but intimate look at The Grahams and is narrated by both Alyssa and Doug (the narration was written by Bryan McCann). Alyssa says, “There’s a special connection between American folk music and the railroad that has no parallel elsewhere in the world.” She talks about the band’s own goals in traveling by train: “We’re looking for the modern echo of older sounds.” The film is about the band, the rails and the land and towns they visited, but mostly it is about the music.
“Alyssa has a great voice, crystal clear, full of fire and passion perfectly complimented by Doug on dobro and vocals.” The Irish Post
“A dynamic Americana duo who’ve married their love of adventure with a desire to build on foundations laid by their musical predecessors.” Americana UK
