Armenian musician Tigran Hamasyan began playing piano at the age of 3. He started playing at festivals across Europe aged 13 and, since then, his reputation has steadily grown with every performance.

He has won prestigious piano competitions, most notably, the 2006 Thelonious Monk jazz piano competition under supervision of Herbie Hancock. He has earned serious recognition with four albums and hundreds of concerts all around the world. Tigran was named the winner of the 2013 Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise in Contemporary Music.

His first album for Universal, A Fable, received acclaim including winning a French Grammy award in 2011.
