Community Music Spark Diary 14th December
Community Music Spark is Sage Gateshead’s community music training programme for adults with learning disabilities. We currently work with four volunteer participants, three of whom have attended previously on work placements from MENCAP National College Dilston, Northern Counties College and Dryden School. HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Andrew: this morning we all met in the cafe as usual, but John is away in Scotland so we were without him this week.
Graeme: there was a bit of a mix up regarding room bookings, so we ended up being in C19, a nice change of scenery!
Marc: So because it’s the last session with PRS inclusion before Christmas, we celebrated by singing christmas songs, (including the 12 days if christmas in Makaton led by Andrew) then we sang “I feel good” and finished off the morning by watching James Brown on a DVD brought in by one of our participants.
Paul: I had to come a bit later because i had a physic appointment, then i had to re-enrol at Newcastle college for my numeracy course. so, as i arrived PRS inclusion were leaving!
Matt: This is the first opportunity we’ve had to have the whole team together in the same place at the same time (Juliette joined us in the afternoon) it’s great to be able to bond more as a team.
Juliette: I didn’t have to rush off today, so it was good to spend time with everybody, and be involved in writing the blog.
all: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR READERS!! see you next year!
The Community Music Sparks team will return in 2013!
