Collective - call out for singers aged 16-30

Posted on 29 January 2019

Sage Gateshead are delighted to be supporting Collective to recruit singers aged 16-30 for some very special live national radio performances.

We’re looking for male or tenors/bass (lower voice type) singers to join us to perform live on BBC radio from Sage Gateshead from 29 to 31 March 2019.

Collective is a new choir, born to help bridge the gap between youth and adult community choirs in the North East. It was created by members of the BBC Youth Choir Academy – a choir of young people aged 16-25 from the North East who applied to be part of a choir which performed at the world famous BBC Proms last July.

Rehearsals will be held at Sage Gateshead during weekends in February and March, with the exact dates and times to be confirmed. The number of places to sing at the festival is limited so it is very important that you attend every rehearsal if you are given a place in the choir.

You must be able to attend the following rehearsal dates. All rehearsals take place from 3.30-6.30pm. If you have an issue with one of the below then please do apply anyway and just make us aware of this in your application.
