Young Ranters - 'Them and Us'

Posted on 28 September 2012

Have you ever felt that there is one rule for ‘them’ and another for ‘us’?

Would you like to have your say by putting together a short ‘rant’ either by yourself or with other young people? This might be in words, rap or song. It might be about a subject that is very serious to you or you might want to take a more light hearted approach.

Are you aged 16+?

If you’re nodding, then ‘Young Ranters – Them and Us’ could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Starting in October 2012 you’ll be part of a group of young people who work together to create a series of short ‘pop‐up’ performances, all inspired by the theme ‘Them and Us’. Along the way, you’ll get tonnes of support to help you develop your ideas and build your performance confidence and you’ll also help each other ‐ sharing and learning new skills.

Between Friday 2 and Sunday 4 November you’ll perform your ‘rant’ at Sage Gateshead as part of both the BBC Radio 3 Free Thinking Festival and Juice – NewcastleGateshead’s award‐winning festival for children and young people.

Young Ranters – ‘Them and Us’ is delivered by Bridge North East and Juice Festival.
