Royal Northern Sinfonia brings Baroque Christmas by Candlelight tour to a church near you

Posted on 30 November 2017

The festive season is almost upon us and alongside rehearsals for concerts at Sage Gateshead, including Home Alone in Concert (3 December), Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (16 December) and The Snowman (22 – 24 December), preparations are well underway for Royal Northern Sinfonia’s Baroque Christmas by Candlelight tour.

Taking place from Thursday 7 December to Wednesday 13 December, RNS will be visiting a number of beautiful churches across the region, including Hexham Abbey, Sunderland Minster and St George’s Church in Cullercoats.

The concerts are the perfect way to get you feeling Christmassy, with a wonderfully festive programme including Vivaldi’s ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons and Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, performed in candlelit surroundings.
