The Snowman flies to Sage Gateshead for Christmas family favourite
The festive season is now just around the corner – and Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas in the North East without this firm family favourite.
Taking place from Friday 22 December to Sunday 24 December, the ever-popular live music and film event, The Snowman, makes a welcome return to Sage One.
An annual tradition at the music venue, Sage Gateshead has delighted sell-out audiences from Newcastle, Gateshead and beyond with screenings of The Snowman accompanied by live music since the building opened to the public in December 2004.
Bring all the family along to watch the classic animated film, adapted from Raymond Briggs’ timeless picture book, on the big screen accompanied live by Royal Northern Sinfonia playing Howard Blake’s magical score.
Expect to hear all your favourite Christmassy tunes in a festive singalong before the film starts – and don’t forget to visit our shop for a range of Snowman-related stocking fillers and gifts. Breakfast and lunch platters are available to pre-book online for £9.95 per person including a free children’s Snowman biscuit, a Fruit Shoot or juice carton and a chance to meet some of the most-loved festive characters from children’s films!
As well as the main concerts, there will also be a relaxed matinee performance on Friday 22 December at 2pm, suited to those with autism or disabilities and their families. Listeners are free to move around and make noise during this performance and hall doors will be left open for people to come and go as they wish.
Book tickets here or call 0191 443 4661. Tickets are priced from £17.50 – £22 with family tickets available.
