Quayside Brasserie tunes up for Father’s Day

A quayside restaurant is treating Dads to a special offer this* Father’s Day*. The Brasserie at Sage Gateshead is offering a special set lunch menu on June 17, with a free bottle of beer for every Dad on arrival. The menu offers a main course for £9.95, two courses for £13.95 or three courses for £16.95.
Starters include cream of leek and potato soup, pork and pistachio terrine with celeriac and apple remoulade with mustard dressing, and fig and Blagdon blue cheese tart with red onion and rocket salad.
Dads can choose from such main courses as roast topside of beef served with Yorkshire pudding and roasted potatoes, oven baked chicken breast, black pudding mash and red wine jus, or seared salmon supreme served with grilled asparagus, confit cherry tomatoes and lemon oil.
For dessert, the menu features banana cheesecake with caramel sauce and hazelnut brittle, toffee apple crumble with vanilla custard, and chocolate brownie ice cream sundae.
Richard Bell, catering general manager, said: “*Father’s Day* is a great opportunity to enjoy a family meal out. This menu showcases a range of delicious British dishes and we’re looking forward to treating Dads to high-quality, locally sourced cuisine.”
